Leading the team and working at Complete. Physio Exercise Performance in Richmond is the best job I could ask for. It’s an opportunity to combine my passion for evidence-based practice, research, and teaching, alongside leading an amazing collaborative team. I am frequently reminded about why I love physiotherapy, and why I’m passionate about with a team to ensure clinical excellence. Here’s 5 key reasons why I love leading and working with the Complete team.

1. Common Commitment to Evidence-Based Practice

From the beginning, my vision for Complete was to create a clinic where evidence-based practice is at the heart of everything we did. People seeking care deserve the best possible treatment, which means staying ahead of the curve in terms of research and clinical practice. Leading a team that shares my commitment to evidence-based practice is incredibly rewarding. Together, we ensure that every person who comes to the clinic receives treatment that is informed by the latest scientific evidence, are provided, or supported to receive, the most effective care available.

2. Empowering Passionate Clinicians

One of the greatest joys of leadership is seeing your team thrive. At Complete, I’m surrounded by clinicians who are not only skilled but are also deeply passionate about what they do. Our clinic environment ensures every team member feels empowered to contribute, grow, and excel at what they do. Whether it’s facilitating professional development or supporting new initiatives, I love helping my team achieve their full potential.

3. Cultivating a Culture of Collaboration

Collaboration is the cornerstone of our success at Complete. The best outcomes are achieved when we work together, leveraging the diverse skills and expertise of our team and broader referral networks. I am proud to lead a clinic where open communication and regular discussion about tricky patients is valued by all. This approach not only enhances patient care but also creates a work environment where clinical excellence can thrive.

4. Serving the Richmond Community

Richmond is more than just the location of our clinic — it’s a vibrant community that we’re proud to be a part of. Our team is fortunate to engage with a diverse population, each with unique needs and goals – whether that is local run group or sporting club members, or local residents and workers. I’m passionate about contributing to the health and well-being of the community, and one of my favourite things is seeing community members, who we have helped, out exercising when I am on my regular runs along the Yarra River before work.

5. Opportunity to Advance the Field of Physiotherapy

Outside seeing patients, I am passionate about research and education in physiotherapy, committed to advancing the field. Leading Complete allows me to integrate my research with clinical practice, ensuring that our patients benefit from the best possible care. It is also amazing to be able to welcome so many clinicians from all over Australia into our clinical space on Bridge Rd for the regular professional development courses and seminars I facilitate and contribute to.
