Pre & Post Natal Physio FAQs

Yes. Your comfort and the safety of your baby is very important to us. We would never prescribe an exercise or use a treatment method that wasn’t deemed completely safe for women who are pregnant.

We do not provide internal examinations for pelvic floor function. We work collaboratively with experienced Women’s Health Physiotherapists that we can refer to if following assessment, if we determine this is required as part of your care.

Once you have had your 6-week review by your GP or obstetrician, and they have provided clearance for you to exercise.

HICAPS facilities are available to immediately process private health fund claims and Medicare rebates where applicable. Please bring your private health care card to claim for the treatment.
Payments are to be made on the day of the consultation and can be made by EFTPOS, credit card, cash or cheque.

Enhanced Primary Care Plan
Patients who are suffering from chronic musculoskeletal conditions may be eligible to receive subsidised costs on limited physiotherapy treatment (5 visits each 12 months) funded by Medicare. Patients must bring with them the GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement prepared by their GP to claim for the rebate. Payment is requested at the time of consultation. Bulk billing is not available.

If you have private health insurance, you can choose to make a claim though your private health fund or Medicare but not both.
