Hi, I’m Tim.

I’m passionate about helping people understand their pain and injuries, so they can spend more time doing the things they love.

Following a thorough clinical and functional assessment, my treatments may include exercise, education, and adjunctive manual therapy, to reduce pain, restore function, and bridge the gap from pain to high performance. I work with all ages and physical activity levels but have a particular interest in working with combat sports athletes and helping them reach their athletic potential and sporting goals.

Since completing my honours degree in 2007, I have gained extensive experience managing pain and sporting injuries. Twelve years of experience working with sporting teams, including injury assessment, rehabilitation strategies and match-day player support, and 15 years of clinical experience have helped me develop extensive knowledge of athletic injuries and best-practice management.

My passion for evidence-informed practice has driven my own research journey. My research has included an honours thesis in shoulder injuries, a master’s thesis on injury prevention in combat sports, and now as a PhD candidate, I am investigating how we manage physical activity for people with lower-extremity persistent musculoskeletal pain. This research knowledge underpins my clinical practice, where I love to translate research into the applied clinical setting for improved outcomes.

Alongside my work at Complete, I hold positions of Program Director at Torrens University, overseeing the Physical Health programs, and adjunct research associate at Monash University. My experience in academic leadership supports my educative treatment approach to empower people to effectively manage their pain and injuries.
