Giacomo Taddei
BSc (Exercise & Sport Science)
Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist
Special Interests: Lower-limb Biomechanics, Functional Movement & Athletic Performance
Hi, I’m Giacomo.
Giacomo (“G”) is a Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist, graduating from the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy and Myotherapy (MIMT), with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from ACU. Originally from Rome, he moved to Melbourne in 2017 and has since developed a strong clinical focus on lower-limb biomechanics, functional movement, and athletic performance. G loves to relieve muscle tension and align the myofacial system of the body so you can move well without stress!
With a sporting background in soccer, skiing, tennis, swimming, running and water polo, Giacomo’s own experience with injuries shaped his passion for understanding how the hips, glutes, and lower leg work together to influence movement efficiency and prevent injury. While he has a particular interest in lower-body mechanics, he also enjoys treating upper-body presentations, especially back, shoulder, and neck conditions.
Giacomo utilises a wide range of evidence-based techniques including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, cupping, sports massage, stretching, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, transverse friction, and dry needling to improve movement quality, reduce pain, and optimise recovery. His approach is practical, client-centred, and focused on long-term functional outcomes. He has a strong interest in supporting athletes and active individuals through injury recovery, performance enhancement, and holistic health. Giacomo is committed to continuous learning and professional growth, ensuring his clients receive high-quality, evidence-informed care. He has vast experience in sports massage therapy & works with the Melbourne Unicorns (Rugby), East Bentleigh Soccer Club & Melbourne Ice (Hockey).
